FLCSD is dedicated to offer its members a growing offering of professional development opportunities to refresh and obtain new knowledge and skills teaching a foreign language, and familiarizing its members with continuing developments of the profession.
Our workshops include updates in technology, the FLCSD Annual Fall Conference on the first Saturday in December, which we follow up with additional workshops to deepen any new skills or concepts, and many FLCSD members attend or present at the California Language Teachers Association Annual Conference in March.
FLCSD works closely with the Language Acquisition Resource Center - Larc at SDSU and the local chapter of the California Foreign Language Project under the auspices of Dr. Duarte Silva at Stanford University, the Southern Area International Languages Network - SAILN. |
